You can apply for a learner licence at the age of 16. To obtain a learner license, you need to pass a written test on road rules and a vision test.
After holding a learner license for a specific period and completing a certain number of supervised driving hours, you can progress to a provisional license. There are two provisional license stages: P1 (red P-plates) and P2 (green P-plates). You must complete a Hazard Perception Test and a Practical Driving Test.
After completing the required time on provisional licenses and meeting specific criteria, you can progress to an open license.
